The internally displaced people in Myanmar is increasing almost five times compared to the data before the February 2021 coup, which reached about 1.9 million people, according to the UNHCR Myanmar’s 2023 July report.
There is an agreed definition of IDP globally but if we simply define it, it means the followings;
1.people without income/job/business
2.no education provisions
3.no healthcare
4.no family life
5.having only bare minimum food just to survive
6.even no shelter in some cases and running for lives from violence without knowing how long they will be doing this.
Regardless of what’s going through in the country, we believe and declare God’s promise over Myanmar: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? ‘’ (Romans 8:35)
