Right now, it feels like Myanmar’s doors are closing in so many ways. People are in hiding, being arrested, and being killed. Yet, in the midst of that, we must pray for opportunities to reach out to others. A time like this leaves the people asking, “Where will my help come from?”
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Psalms 121:1-2 NIV
As Christians we are in a place to tell them exactly that. We have an answer for them. The answer is Jesus. He may be the only thing we have in this time, but He is enough. The Creator of the world works all things for the good of those who love Him.
Let’s take every opportunity to love our neighbors around us, above and beyond every expectation. When they feel that love, and understand that we follow Jesus, they’ll know the answer to their question. By our love, others will hear the good news that Jesus is where our help comes from, and He is here.
