The news ‘’Cyclone Mocha likely to head towards Myanmar coast’’ hit the people of Myanmar unrest these days.
‘’On Friday, it is likely to intensify further into a ‘very severe cyclone’ clocking winds of up to 148 kmph as it will head towards the Myanmar coast near Yangon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported.
Su Su San, a U.S based senior meteorologist and advanced weather forecaster, also forecasted this morning that the 91 B Deep Depression occurring in the Bay of Bengal on May 12th and 13th can blow up to 80 kts, 90 mph 148 km per hour (CAT one) or VSCS Mocha Cyclone may develop into a major storm.
It is said that a powerful storm called Mokha will cross near the Bangladesh-Myanmar border and enter Myanmar from southern Rakhine State, bringing strong winds and heavy rain to some parts of Myanmar on the 14th and 15th of May 2023.
