Did you know Myanmar is ranked 125 out of 195 countries and territories, and has the worst ranking of the ASEAN countries in the 2021 Gender Inequality Index(GII) included in the UNDP’s Human Development Report? GII is a composite metric of gender inequality using three dimensions: reproductive health, empowerment and the labour market.
While ‘’ the 16 days of Activism for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women’’ is organized worldwide during November 25 to December 10 every year, it is critical to pay attention that women and children in conflicted areas suffer the most.
Pray that the love of our lord Jesus Christ is reflected within the Christian families in Myanmar that it further influences positively in our neighborhoods. Let’s pray also for the emotional and physical security for women and girls in the IDPs and armed conflicted areas.
