The Asbury Revival: God’s Call to Intimacy

The Asbury Revival: God's Call to Intimacy

The Asbury Theological Seminary, as well as other colleges, have been witnessing a large number of people on their knees in tears during worship and prayer. The Asbury Revival started on February 8th during a routine chapel service at Asbury’s Hughes Auditorium, and it has continued uninterrupted since then. As of Wednesday, the revival has been ongoing for 15 days and has exceeded 300 consecutive hours.

According to one participant, “Prayer should be something that you want to do, not something you have to do. Worship is something you get to do. It changes everything when you have that first love with Jesus.” Many have shared testimonies of experiencing the profound presence of the Lord during worship services. Let us pray that this revival’s fire will continue to spread throughout the West and beyond, drawing many people back to worship and intimacy with God.

Will you not revive us again,

that your people may rejoice in you?

Show us your unfailing love, Lord,

and grant us your salvation.

Psalms 85:6-7 (NIV)
