Amidst fighting in Chin state, God open the hearts of missionaries to reach the people of Kanpetlet with the Good News of Jesus Christ sharing God’s love.
Previously, the families of Kanpetlet lived in peace in their own villages in town. However, since the coup, there were heavy fighting going on across the region between Chin Defense Forces and Junta Forces. The junta forces burned their villages that they became refugees hiding in nearby forests for lives with no proper food and medicines.
When some of our missionaries visited these people, God protected them on the way crossing several military check posts. Most of these refugees heard the Good News for the first time. After hours of sharing the Word of God with them, three persons accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalms 46:1 (NIV)
