Rohingyas in Ramadan

Rohingyas and Muslims across the world are now observing Ramadan, which begins on 22 March and will end by 22 April. Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer, reflection and spiritual growth: to purify the soul and deepen one’s connection to God. During this month, Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and engaging in sexual activity from dawn to sunset. It is also a time of generosity and giving to those in need.

Rohingyas in Bangladesh’s refugee camps have been wishing to go home since 2017; but they are still in a difficult situation today without freedom to go around, earn money for themselves,  and recently experiencing food cuts. “The Rohingya in my area survive only because of the UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency) and the World Food Program. Pray for a more habitual environment in our camps. Pray also that the restrictions on our movement would be eased.” This is a prayer request from a Rohingya named Mustafar.
