Nobody wants to leave home and flee for lives into jungles and forest especially at this time of raining and forthcoming winter season in Myanmar. Nevertheless the intense fightings between the People’s Forces and the Junta troops drove many families flee to Internally Displaced People Camps, into nearby forests and neighboring countries.
About 5,000 IDPs in Karenni State’s west Hpruso Township and 100,000 IDPs in Karen state’s Hpapun are facing food shortages since mid August. The rise of commodity and ongoing fightings in the regions make very challenging for the donors and volunteers to reach them. These families have no adequate food, medicines, and shelters. A person from the IDP Assistance Committee in charge of distributing food to the IDPs in Karenni said, “We mainly need commodities such as rice, oil, salt and medicines”.
Let’s pray for these families that God will open them ways to access sufficient provisions as He did provide Manna to Israelites in the desert. Pray that they will have hearts of caring and sharing each other in love as the early Church did share things in common.
Prayer Requests
Pray that the donors and volunteers may have wisdom to reach these families.
Pray that the fightings and war will be over soon in the regions and across Myanmar that these families will be able to return home soon and live peacefully like before.
