Numbers can sometimes add value in certain aspects of life in terms of net worth, number of children, years of marriage or milestones in educational or occupational achievements. Unfortunately, there are numbers which totally put you down or even make you grieve with pain.
The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) reports on July 10th that a total of (3,770) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians have been killed through military crackdowns against the pro-democracy movement, out of the (23,784) people arrested, (19,413) are currently under detention, (6,705) of whom are serving sentences.
There are a total of (115) post-coup death row prisoners as of July 10, 2023. (122) people have been sentenced in absentia, of whom (43) have been sentenced to death making a total of (158) people who have been sentenced to death. As the junta continues to commit extrajudicial murders of political prisoners, the AAPP further stated that these numbers verified by the team and the actual numbers are likely much higher.
God, please turn your face to our nation, let your light shine upon us!
