Praise the Lord for the generosity of the saints towards their brothers and sisters in Myanmar! The Lord is moving the hearts of people around the world for the oppressed, broken, and lost of the nation. Between a Chinese church in Maryland, a young nurse in Alabama, Burmese churches in San Jose, furniture shop owners in Switzerland, disciple-makers from Utah, a famous pop singer duo from Los Angeles, and an elderly woman who only sends checks, the Lord is using the global Church to demonstrate His love to Myanmar.
Hear from a friend in one of our partner ministries in Myanmar: “I was so touched by two Swiss brothers. They run a furniture company in their country. After our team leader shared about the COVID crisis in Myanmar, they donated 13,000 euros [over $15.3K USD]. I almost cried, since we all need funds to help/save lives during this crisis. God heard the many cries of His children. Through these funds, we were able to buy 25,000 kg of rice, 3,000 bottles of cooking oil, many different types of noodles, vitamins, and pain killers for 1,000 family houses and children’s homes. God is at work.”
Thousands have been forced to flee clashes or military raids in their villages and towns. Although the number of cases is on the decline, many of the people continue to fight against COVID. The United Nations Development Program anticipates another 13 million people in Myanmar falling below the poverty line due to Myanmar’s coup and third wave of COVID. Impoverished areas have been abandoned by police and local gangsters have risen to fill the power vacuum. Many people have been forced by desperation into high-interest loans with these gangs, sinking into incredible debt and despair as they try to care for their loved ones. The need is great.
Donations have gone towards numerous ministries and works: feeding the impoverished in slums, supporting evangelists and church planters, helping impoverished families launch animal husbandry businesses, creating wells for drinkable water, providing oxygen concentrators, and much more. There is so much work being done in Myanmar and so much yet to be done.

1. Pray for the Lord’s grace upon the people of Myanmar, and pray for miraculous healings that testify to the power of Christ.
2. Pray for deep moves of the Holy Spirit to transform the spiritual atmosphere of Myanmar. Pray that these ministries would operate under an open heaven.
