“He raises up the poor from the dust;
He lifts the needy from the ash heap…”
1 Samuel 2:8
Between COVID lockdowns, military curfews, and the Civil Disobedience Movement effectively freezing every system the country depends on, the economy of Myanmar is being strangled. In March, the cost of fuel rose 15 percent nationwide, and food prices climbed as much as 20 or 35 percent in some areas. Many people stand waiting for 4-6 hours at the ATM, desperate to withdraw some cash to feed their families, only to walk away empty-handed.
1. Pray that the Lord would supernaturally, richly provide for needy families and the ministries sharing Christ’s love with them.
2. Pray that the Lord would end the conflict soon and restore Myanmar’s economy, lifting up millions of needy and vulnerable people from the ash heap of poverty.
