“…you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.”
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
Nestled in the heartland of Myanmar, Mandalay is the nation’s second largest city and a yearly religious pilgrimage site boasting a large number of temples and shrines. Dozens of anti-coup protesters have been killed in Mandalay by the military, including a 19 year old girl who became a fallen hero of the pro-democracy movement. In the midst of this violence and chaos, a team of evangelists have been faithfully sharing the Gospel and caring for practical needs, touching the lives of over one hundred families with the hope of Christ. After much prayer, one lady gave her life to Christ and cleaned out all the idols and shrines in her home.

2. Pray that Mandalay would no longer be known as a stronghold of Buddhism and idol-worship, but a city filled with Christ-followers who serve the true and living God.
