Day 2: Suffering with Them

Day 2: Suffering with Them

“Surely He has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows”

Isaiah 53:4

The people of Myanmar are well acquainted with suffering. They have endured decades of ethnic armed conflicts, steep poverty that affects millions, and 50 years of brutal rule under military dictatorship. The recent coup is only the latest in a long train of their trials. More than ever before, Myanmar needs to know that Jesus not only reigns even in the darkest hours, but that He is the Suffering King. He once was crowned with thorns – and He, more than any other, understands Myanmar’s pain and despair.

Prayer Requests

1. Pray that the people of Myanmar would know the King who suffers with them and suffered for them on the cross.

2. Pray that we, as Christ’s followers, would share in His suffering love for the hurting people of Myanmar.
