“…for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”
1 Corinthians 16:9
The military junta has killed Myanmar’s internet in an attempt to suppress dissent and anti-coup organization, even cutting physical wires and holding technicians at gunpoint. Prior to the coup, digital evangelism was taking off in Myanmar: Over 11.7 million people had seen Gospel ads on Facebook, over 19,500 had been ministered to one-on-one by indigenous digital evangelists, and over 455 made a profession of faith in Jesus. The internet shutdown blocked all attempts to connect these new believers to local churches and pastors, and all efforts to continue using Facebook to seed all of Myanmar with the Gospel.
Prayer Requests
1. Pray that the Lord would faithfully shepherd and guard these new believers, making them strong in faith and fruitful in His Spirit.
2. Pray in bold faith that a great and effective door for the Gospel would be re-opened in Myanmar through digital evangelism.
