“So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, ‘You are a God of seeing,’ for she said, ‘Truly here I have seen Him who looks after me.’”
Genesis 16:13
The Tatmadaw is determined to keep the world from seeing its actions in Myanmar. The junta has arrested over 80 journalists, cracked down on independent news outlets, and crippled communications by shutting off countrywide mobile internet in early April. Reporters and brave “civilian journalists” have used VPNs and every means possible to continue sharing with the world what is happening in Myanmar, but it is increasingly dangerous work.
Prayer Requests
1. Pray for protection, endurance, and open avenues to communicate to those who are bravely telling the world about the Tatmadaw’s brutality.
2. Pray that the people of Myanmar would know that no matter how much or little the world sees their plight, God sees them and knows their suffering.
