Childhood development school resume at Yangon Slum

Childhood development school resume at Yangon Slum

After almost two years since the childhood development school was closed inevitably due to the pandemic and the military coup, God opens a new season of opportunity to resume this program at Hlaingtharya Slum, Yangon where GSI is doing church planting. Given the situation of political unrest in the country, we initially invite limited numbers of children from slum families and teach at the bamboo hut, the temporary facility. The children are between four to six years old. They will learn the Bible stories and discover Truth from them. Five qualified teachers from one of our ministry partners are serving there throughout the working days (i.e. Monday-Friday). This ministry is also sharing free soymilk to these children once a month.

Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for the children for God’s wisdom and understanding of his Word and love.
  • Pray for their families and community that God will change their hearts and life through the gospel and education.
  • Pray for the safety of teachers. Pray that God will empower them with his wisdom and anointing to teach these children and impact the community.
  • Pray for further opportunity to expand this ministry to more children.
