Sometimes we think that meeting Jesus Christ personally will change all of our life, the lives of my family & friends, and the neighborhoods we live in — almost like magic..
And if you’re like me, when we don’t see the changes, we might get very confused. Or maybe you have seen some changes, but there needs to be more and GOD doesn’t seem to me working hard enough or fast enough!
Jesus says to each of us, something very unexpected-
“Blessed are you when people hate you,
and when they exclude you,
and insult you,
and reject you as evil on account of the Son of Man!
Rejoice in that day, and jump for joy, because your reward is great in heaven.
For their ancestors did the same things to the prophets.”
Luke 6:22-23
Jesus warns His followers in advance that a life dedicated to seeking His voice, following His call, and depending on the Word of GOD is not just difficult at times — our lives can also not mesh well with some people in our lives. And in this Jesus calls these disciples ‘Blessed.”
Today if you are someone who is encountering conflicts in your relationships because of your obedience to where Christ Jesus has called you — let’s pray to Him right now.
- Ask Jesus what He means by “to be blessed”
- and ask Him how His ways might be so different from what we might have thought.
- Call on Jesus, the GOD above all – the King of kings, the Lord of lords.
- and then listen carefully for His care for you personally🙏
