In his book Light in the East, James Mills Thoburn records some of Adoniram Judson’s words about prayer. On hearing from his wife that the testimony of his life’s hardships in Burma had moved Jews to request a missionary be sent to them, Judson said, “I never prayed sincerely and earnestly for anything, but it came at some time — no matter how distant, in some way, in some shape, probably the last I should have devised, it came. And yet, I have always had so little faith. God forgive me.”
Prayer Requests
Pray for the Body, that we would learn to pray sincerely, earnestly, and consistently, and would grow in joy and confidence that He will answer our prayers.
